Berklee College of Music

Denis Fecteau is a Quebec-based trained musician who started learning violin at an early age in elementary school. Two years later, he switched to piano lessons at home. As a young man, he entered the Conservatoire de Musique de Québec where he completed a college diploma in piano, harpsichord, percussion and music composition training.

Years later he completed a Certificate in Music Composition for Film and TV at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

In the mid-80s’, he developed a keen interest in computer programming with all the new possibilities created by emerging computer music technologies. As a result, Denis completed a computer science certificate to gain the skills needed to program and install computer-assisted digital recording studio equipment. Until the beginning of the new millennium, he worked as a digital audio computer technician and consultant in MIDI programming dedicated to multimedia and live shows.

His specialized skills provided unique opportunities to collaborate with the David Copperfield team in Las Vegas and other renowned companies in Quebec, Canada and Europe.
